The “Web3 for Universities” Grant Round is designed to support Web3 and Public Goods education in African universities. This round will provide financial resources to web3 university tech clubs, web3 contributors, and creatives who are actively engaged in educating and onboarding students into the blockchain ecosystem.

The purpose of this round is to:

• Support and scale ongoing grassroots efforts in web3 education and innovation in African universities.
• Enable community-driven initiatives that create open-source blockchain tools and educational resources.
• Provide funding for impactful projects that focus on student onboarding, blockchain-based career development, and the growth of sustainable web3 ecosystems within universities.

Round Funding Focus:

• Educating and onboarding students into Web3
• Building open-source blockchain tools and resources.
• Organizing hackathons, boot camps, GG donation activations, and tech meetups.
• Showcasing blockchain applications through creative and technical presentation.

Impact Goals:

The intended impact of this funding round is to:

• Onboard more students into Web3 by funding education-focused university tech clubs, web3 contributors, and educators.
• Expand access to web3 knowledge and opportunities for students, particularly in African universities, helping bridge the digital divide in education and blockchain careers.
